Many many years ago God sent his son to us which we celebrate Christmas as his birth.
When I was younger & had kids at home I use to always bake a birthday cake for him and we would sing Happy Birthday to Jesus.
If course back then I also celebrated the traditional Christmas with the lites & presents etc. I haven't done that for several years now. I just celebrate Christ's birthday. No decorations & all that stuff. Just a manger scene - a Bible & candles & Christ's picture. That's my decorations.
But the other day I heard a song on the radio about what a little boy thought about Santa & what he said really struck me. I never thought of it in this way but he said to him God was Santa Claus as he gave us the most valuable present of all. Salvation. Eternal Life. And it's a present he also gives those who want it every day.
So You see Virginia - there really is a Santa Claus but we call him God.
